Select models have 30-bit LCD panel technology that show over one billion active colors–64 times more colors compared to traditional LCDs. The left image is an example of banding artifacts from insufficient bit depth. HP’s 30-bit technology gives you much smoother color transitions (as seen in the image on the right) and virtually eliminates contouring or banding artifacts.
